Work, energy and power is a vast topic that requires a lot of hard work and the application questions of this concept can be very challenging. Power is also expressed in units of horsepower (hp). If a machine does 1,000 joules of work in 1 second, then its power is 1,000 watts or 1 kilowatt. Power is usually expressed in units of Watt. In the same way, the more powerful a machine is, the faster it can work. The stronger you are, the more times you can turn the wheel. You can think of it as the number of times you can turn a bicycle’s wheel in a minute. It can also be defined as the rate of using energy. It is represented by the following mathematical formula: KE = 0.5 x m x v 2, where m = mass of the object and v = speed of the object.
